1985- Vince Herman-guitar, Vaugn Mairs-bass, Fred Prichard-banjo, Vince Farsetta-fiddle, Alan Freeman-dulcimer

Vince has been writing Calypso, Reggae and Ska songs since his days in his band Small Axe in West Virginia in the early 80's.
Vince Herman from Leftover Salmon was attending college at WVU at that time and became a big fan of Farsetta's band
.
They became friends and began to pick tunes in local jams on front porchs and in backyards at local parties, and when Vince Herman
moved to Colorado he took a cassette tape Farsetta had released called For The Times from which he learned what have become some
of LOS's standards like Carnival Time, Zombee Jamboree, The Boo Boo and an original song by Farsetta called The Jokester which LOS
recorded for their self-released live album called Ask The Fish. The song was inspired by Vince Herman and he
didn't find this out till a couple of years after it was recorded by LOS. He is The Jokester !

Leftover Salmon also recorded two other Farsetta originals on their major label preview Eurphoria released on Hollywood Records.

" Mama Boulet" - a song about a Haitian Voodoo Queen.
"Better" -a ska burner released as a single and can be heard in Warren Miller's film Snowrider's II.
